Ana Alberca
Born in Madrid in 1970. She studied Engraving at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Madrid. In 1992 she began to make her first engravings and in 1995 she set up her own workshop. He has participated in Estampa since 1995, where his work is part of the collective exhibition every year. In recent years his international projection is remarkable. His work has been present at The Affordable Art Fair (AFF) in Milan, New York, London and Brussels. His curriculum includes solo exhibitions in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and group exhibitions in Frankfurt, among other countries. Primitive, abstract, impulsive, balanced, are words that can explain both the creative process and the final result reflected in his prints. In his work, lines play a leading role. It is a simple element that allows him to create images that can transmit different sensations, from calm to agitation, depending on the forcefulness and shape of the stroke. In 2011 he began to experiment with oil painting and has returned to the zinc and wood sculptures of the beginning of his career. The result of this new stage has been the solo exhibition "Duality" presented in Brussels in June. The energy and strength of her strokes are still present in this new path undertaken by Ana Alberca.
Nace en Madrid en 1970. Estudia Grabado en la Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos de Madrid. En 1992 comienza a realizar sus primeros grabados y en 1995 monta su propio taller. Participa en Estampa desde 1995, donde su obra forma parte de la exposición colectiva todos los años. En los últimos años su proyección internacional es notable. Su trabajo ha estado presente en The Affordable Art Fair (AFF) en Milán, Nueva York, Londres y Bruselas. Su currículum incluye exposiciones individuales en Shanghai, Hong Kong y exposiciones colectivas en Frankfurt, entre otros países. Primitivo, abstracto, impulsivo, equilibrado, son palabras que pueden explicar tanto el proceso creativo como el resultado final reflejado en sus estampas. En su obra, las líneas tienen un papel protagonista. Es un elemento sencillo que le permite crear imágenes que pueden transmitir diferentes sensaciones, desde la calma hasta la agitación, dependiendo de la contundencia y forma del trazo. En 2011 comienza a experimentar con la pintura al óleo y ha vuelto a las esculturas de zinc y madera de los inicios de su carrera. Fruto de esta nueva etapa ha sido la exposición individual “Dualidad” presentada en Bruselas el pasado mes de junio. La energía y la fuerza de sus trazos siguen presentes en este nuevo camino emprendido por Ana Alberca.
